- A Certificate of Non-Indebtedness or Clearance Certificate must be secured from FGSHLB before retirement. This ensures all loans are settled.
- FGSHLB has begun compiling lists of retirees with unpaid loans. Mortgaged properties of defaulting retirees may be seized as per Public Service Rule 021002(p)
FGSHLB POLICIES AND GUIDELINES
- FGSHLB offers Federal Civil Servants Housing loans at a low single-digit interest rate of 3% aiming to make housing affordable for civil servants.
- Repayment
- Federal Public servants can repay over periods ranging from 5 – 25 years
FGSHLB Regulations ensures that Loan Beneficiaries makearrangements satisfactory to the Board to liquidate the advanceand also in the eventof a loan Beneficiary’sdeath before complete repayment, theBoard may foreclose the mortgage unless their personal representatives make satisfactory settlement arrangement.
